TURTH: Science has proven that for short term weight loss goals, dieting is more successful in weight loss that purely exercising. However, for long-term goals, you need a combination of both behavior changes for results and a healthy lifestyle.
MYTH: As long as it’s healthy, you can eat as much as you want.
TRUTH: Everything in moderation is the best way to think. Portion control is key, or else you are overeating.
MYTH: Cheat days will keep your metabolism up.
TRUTH: The fats that are consumed when you are cheating stay stored in your body and continue to build, which is not good for your body in the long run.
MYTH: Diet and exercise are the only things you should worry about.
TRUTH: Sleep, stress, hydration and your environment play a huge role in weight loss. Make sure to take care of yourself for the best results.
MYTH: Cut out all junk food.
TRUTH: Your body has room for the bad fats and sugars, as long as they do not consume your entire diet. Cheating every now and then won’t kill you as long as you limit yourself while you are indulging.
